Porting my Nagios Plugins to Python Binary Talks | (1)
I've just started to rewrite my sh written Nagios Plugins in Python, mainly to get a feeling for writing Python code. First steps with writing object-orientated code were... Public SVN access now available Matejunkie | (0)
Just a short note: I finally got public svn read-only access now running, means you've got more ways to get the scripts here than doing the good old copy'n'paste style or using NagiosExchange. Update 1.1: Apache check plugin for Nagios Binary Talks | (1)
Update: After reading this article, consider reading the update to version 1.2 as well. I've just made an update to the check_apache2.sh script which I've released several days ago. It now supports completely optional warning/critical thresholds to monitor requests per second more accurate. Changelog Options -wr an -cr to set warning/critical thresholds for request per seconds Slightly altered the perfdata output so that uptime now only shows up when the -ext-info/-e option is being used Perfdata output without --ext-info/-e now only shows requests per second, cpu load, idle and busy workers I didn't remove the total request/uptime perfdata yet since I'm still thinking about using them ...

Bind check plugin for Nagios Binary Talks | (7)
Update: After reading this article, consider reading the update to version 1.2 as well. check_bind.sh is another Nagios Plugin I've written. It's purpose is to check whether the daemon is running and to trigger rndc stats to get BIND's performance data. Update: After reading this article I strongly suggest to use the updated version 1.1 of this script described in this article. Apache is the most widely spread webserver on earth with a market share of over 50% according to Netcraft's webserver survey for February 2009. Update: How to recover mp3’s after an iPod database crash Binary Talks | (2)
I've recently wrote about recovering mp3's from an iPod which expierenced a database crash after e.g. messing around with gnupod. As you may have seen the script wasn't complete it all. It was a quick'n'dirty hack to copy all the files from a mounted iPod to a local directory where they were sorted into specific directories depending on the artist's and the album's name.
